Fresno City College (FCC) is ready to bounce back! Campus reopens on February 5th, and we're thrilled to welcome everyone back. But the journey to this reopening hasn't been without challenges.
A severe issue with the main water lines has kept us on edge, and we're grateful for your understanding during this time. The college administration, led by President Denise Whisenhunt, J.D., has been working tirelessly to resolve this crisis.
Here's the latest update: While the campus is reopening, Building A's water situation requires further attention. The tap water in this building is not yet safe for consumption, so students, faculty, and staff are advised to avoid drinking it until additional testing is done. Rest assured, the restrooms are operational, and guidance signs are posted throughout the building.
A big shout-out to the Building Services Department for their unwavering dedication! Their efforts have been instrumental in getting us back on track. This week, several events were postponed and relocated to manage the schedule and honor prior commitments.
As we reopen, we encourage everyone to stay informed and follow the posted guidelines. And remember, if you have any concerns or questions, reach out to the college administration. We're all in this together!
But here's where it gets intriguing: How do you think the college could have better prepared for such an unexpected crisis? Do you think there's room for improvement in their emergency response? Share your thoughts below, and let's spark a constructive conversation!
