What happened this year was exciting from start to finish. We kicked off with the Xbox Developer Direct visit to our Montpellier studio, then launched the game on Game Pass, Xbox consoles, and PC in April. Since then, the ride has only gotten more remarkable, and we want to pause to say a heartfelt: thank you.
In appreciation, we rolled out a brand-new, free game update packed with requested features and fresh content that we believe fans will love. And the best part? It’s available right now.
Welcome to Verso’s Drafts
This update introduces a brand-new environment: Verso’s Drafts. It presents a whimsical storybook adventure connected to a younger Verso, delivering surprises fans may not expect. Picture bright fields of flowers, a colossal overflowing toy box, a Gestral fairground, and more. Our goal was to craft a space that feels refreshing, intriguing, and most of all, fun.
Fans asked for more time with the characters they adore, including the full party with Esquie. So, in the spirit of gratitude, we created something cheerful that feels like a warm reunion with old friends.
Exploring this area should evoke a touch of childhood nostalgia, now shared with your fellow Expeditioners. You’ll uncover new secrets, discover new weapons and Pictos, and encounter plenty of moments you’ll enjoy exploring on your own. There’s also a particularly dastardly new encounter with the most infamous villain—one we can’t wait for you to meet and test your wits against.
Powerful New Adversaries
For players seeking greater challenges after Verso’s Drafts, we’ve added more content to push your skills. The Endless Tower has been refreshed with new enemies that will force you to rethink strategies and push your parrying to the limit. Our team spent considerable time refining these encounters, so high-level players who think they’ve conquered the toughest battles should find fresh spice here. And yes, defeating these enhanced foes will unlock new rewards.
If you previously mastered facing Simon and perfected your no-hit runs, you’ll face an all-new set of challenges. Good luck—I think you’ll need it.
